Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of daveshotschickens.website, operated from 4820 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90027. By using the site, you agree to them.
The page below explains what you may do with our recipes and technique guides, how digital purchases and refunds work, who owns the material on the site, and how to reach us if something is unclear about the Dave hot chicken and Hots chicken collection.
The terms, line by line
Each row is one part of the agreement. They are written in plain language so you can find what you need without a second reading.
The site provides recipes, technique guides, and related digital content for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to copy, redistribute, resell, or republish the content without written permission. Printing a page for your own kitchen, or saving the collection on your own device, is fine. Sharing the files with a group, uploading them to another site, or selling printed copies is not.
Purchases of the recipe collection are for digital delivery. Delivery details are provided at the time of purchase. Because the content is digital, refund eligibility is limited once the files have been accessed, except where required by law. If a download fails or the wrong file arrives, contact us and we will sort it out before the refund question even comes up.
Content on this site is provided for general cooking information. It is not professional culinary, nutritional, or medical advice. You are responsible for safe food handling, safe use of cooking equipment, and any dietary decisions you make. That covers hot oil temperatures, allergen awareness, and the internal doneness temperatures you use at home.
All text, recipes, images, and other content on the site are owned by or licensed to Dave's Hots Chickens and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. The Dave's Hots Chickens name and branding may not be used without permission. Cooking a recipe for your family is obviously not a licensing issue; republishing the method as your own is.
The site and its content are provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Dave's Hots Chickens is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Kitchens vary, ingredients vary, and results follow your own handling of heat and food.
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If a change affects purchases or refunds, the version in place at the moment you bought the collection still applies to that purchase.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
What these terms do not take away
The rules above cover how the site and the digital collection may be used. They do not change what you get when you buy: the recipe collection, the technique notes, and the flavor reference for crispy strips, juicy wings, nuggets, and breaded cutlets. You keep your own notes, your own substitutions, and whatever your kitchen does with the method.
-
Personal kitchen use
Cook, adapt, and repeat the recipes at home as often as you like.
-
Your own copies
Print pages or save the files for your own reference while you cook.
-
Questions answered
Write or call during business hours and a person will reply.
In short
Cook freely, buy once, keep it to yourself, and call us if a file or a rule needs explaining.
That is the whole agreement in one sentence. The detailed sections above are the version that holds up if there is ever a disagreement, and the sections below answer the questions people send us most often about the digital collection.
Questions we get about the terms
If your question is not here, send it through the contact page or call during business hours. We would rather answer it than have you guess.
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Can I share the recipe collection with a friend?
The collection is licensed for your own personal use. Sending the files to someone else, or posting them where others can download them, is not covered by the purchase. If a friend wants the recipes, point them to the collection page — that is what keeps the project going.
What happens if my download does not work?
Contact us with the email address you used at checkout and describe what happened. We will re-send the delivery link or fix the file. A failed download is not treated as an accessed file, so the refund limits described above do not apply while we are sorting it out.
Can I use these recipes in my own business?
The license covers personal, non-commercial cooking. If you run a food business and want to serve these methods, write to us through the contact page first and we will explain what a commercial arrangement would look like.
Will the terms change after I buy?
They can be updated, and the newest version applies to continued use of the site. For a purchase you already made, the terms that were live at checkout still govern that order, including anything about refunds.
How do I read the privacy and cookie policies?
Both are linked below. The privacy policy covers what we collect when you contact us or buy the collection; the cookie policy explains the small files the site uses. If a form on the site collects your details, the privacy policy is the document that describes how they are handled.
